Travis Barker and DJ AM Will Recover

I would like to be able to make funny commentary about this unfortunate accident, but I can’t. Travis Barker is a personal hero of mine and I lament such an accident, which claimed the lives of four people Friday night when their Learjet plane crashed in Columbia, South Carolina.
Travis and DJ AM (Adam Goldstein) were on their way back from Columbia Metropolitan Airport, and were said to be in a hurry to see DJ AM’s newborn kid, before the pilots reportedly heard something like a tire blowing out. The pilots tried to react and abort the take-off but it was too late. The small plane veered off the runway, through a fence, and crossed a roadway before finally crashing into a small hill, when the plane was almost immediately engulfed in flames.
Travis Barker was burned in from his lower torso and lower body, where DJ AM was burned from his arm up to parts of his head. The two are said to be recovering from second and third-degree burns, they are expected to make a full recovery. Several Celebrities have flown out to check up on the two, including Jermaine Dupri, Many Moore, and Shanna Moakler. The four who died include the pilot and co-pilot, Sarah Lemmon and James Bland, along with members of Travis’ entourage, Chris Baker and Charles Still.
