Wait, where does the salad fork go?

Ah, the ever confusing question of where to place the knives, plates, glasses etc. when setting the table for a fancy holiday dinner party. For those of us who did not grow up idolizing Emily Post, this can be a daunting task. Depending the social circle, your guests may or may not know/care where their utensils should “live” on the table. My friends are just happy to be eating a home cooked meal and could care less where the dessert spoon is as long as they have one. I however, like to set a proper table when I go to the trouble of throwing a fabulous dinner soirée. Last year, I printed off this nifty diagram to help me. Click the link below to check it out.
