As much as I want to have the old NES in the house to play my retro library, even buying a used one comes with all the problems you remember from childhood: Having to blow into the cartridges and console to clean dust off the pins, the blinking power button, etc. Having a brand new machine eliminates that issue most efficiently. Not to mention, it is awfully spiffy looking.
