What to do with that Dusty Crockpot

Is mine the only crock pots that’s dusty and forgotten? Just this morning I had to perform miraculous surgery to extract a forgotten pot from under and equally forgotten crockpot. When my crockpot nearly broke from my rough, unappreciative treatment, I got to thinking, maybe I should actually use this thing.
With temperatures still well into the high 80′s in my small apartment, I can barely think about turning on the stove top, let alone the oven. But a girl still has to eat! That’s where my crockpot might come in handy. I could throw some chicken, veggies and broth into the crock pot in the morning before I leave for work, and come home to a warm chicken dinner (and still slightly warm apartment). I also have loads of summer produce currently languishing my my refrigerator. Well, they’re going to get the slow cooking treatment too.
