Wheeled Baskets Ease Your Load

I always have a battle plan when I hit the grocery store. Every trip, that plan invariably fails me. See, I’m the kind of person that always grabs a hand held basket instead of a cart. I feel like the basket will help me limit the amount of items I buy and the amount of money I spend. I can only fit so many items in the basket, so at some point I’ll have to give up the shopping extravaganza and head for the check out line. My attempts to limit myself only result in one sore arm. No matter how I try, I always seem to load that tiny basket beyond capacity until I find myself struggling towards the front of the store with a load of groceries I can barely carry.
One grocery store in the Boston area has solved the overloaded basket problem. They’ve introduced a basket, with all the handy basket qualities, but when the sucker gets too heavy, you can set in on the ground and wheel it around like a civilized shopper. They’re available in Shaw’s Supermarkets. I think they’re pretty genius. You can also find this bit of human ingenuity in New York-based Wegman’s, Marsh Supermarkets in Indianapolis and Roundy’s Supermarkets in Wisconsin. Happy shopping!
