Carrie Underwood's Secret To Losing 20 Pounds!

Country crooner Carrie Underwood, 24, waited for American Idol to end before she trying to lose the 20 pounds she gained during the competition. She dished all of her secrets to melting off the weight in the February issue of Shape magazine.
Along with eating a healthy, low calorie diet Carrie wrote down every single thing she ate! She bought a notebook and started a food diary:
"I discovered writing down everything makes such a difference, because you never realize how much you're consuming unless you read it later in te day. I took it everywhere with me. I had two whole grain waffles..

Carrie also hired a personal trainer to help her figure out the best equipment to reach her goals and the proper way to use it. She used the elliptical machine for cardio, a balance ball for ab workouts, and free weights to tone arms and shoulders. Carrie also switched from eating ice cream and pie at night to small bags of popcorn and Kashi!
"Kashi is my favorite cereals, I'm like a kid, I carry it everywhere!"
