Mischa Barton Lands Permanent Role On 'Gossip Girl'?

Mischa Barton has been offered a part on the hit CW show Gossip Girl, reports TV Guide.

It has not been confirmed whether or not Mischa will accept the recurring role of Georgina Sparks, 'a scheme queen who brings Serena's checkered past screaming into her present.'

Josh Schwartz, who killed Barton off of The OC, apparently initiated casting effort.
