Ashlee Simpson Denied Slot On SNL To Promote New Album For Being 'A Pain'

ash.jpgNBC has declined to offer pop rock 'singer' Ashlee Simpson a slot on Saturday Night Live to promote her new album Bittersweet World after lip-syncing on the show in 2004.

An insider told the NY Post that Ash's father / manager, Joe Simpson, tried to get her a spot on SNL, but producers said no because she was 'a pain' during her last visit.

Ashlee’s rep claimed, 'we’re not doing ‘SNL’ because they’re dark the week we are here in April and there were no other opportunities later in the year.'

Well, I believe the people at SNL. Cuz let's face it... She's not the most talented person out there and her previous mishap didn't make the people at SNL look good. So, they're looking out for themselves... And how is Ashlee Simpson famous again? I mean, it's been like three years since her last album! Where did she go and why didn't she try and redeem herself earlier?
