Struggling actress Jessica Simpson is recovering from a recent hospitalization for a kidney infection which was the result of heavy drinking, reports Star.

An insider claims that the infection was brought on by drinking an 'obscene amount of alcohol' soon after she started dating Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.
