Milk is a film about California’s first openly gay elected politician, Harvey Milk (Sean Penn). Grabeel, 23, will reportedly play Daniel Nicoletta, a clerk in Milk’s famed Castro Street camera store in San Francisco.The real-life Nicoletta calls himself a “torch bearer of [Milk’s] memory,” and said, “I’m just thrilled I’m alive to see this happening. There’s something epic about it being a feature film, because people respond to them so strongly in this culture.”

After graduating from high school, Lucas moved from Springfield, Missouri to Los Angeles to pursue a film career, and several months later landed his first Disney Movie, Halloweentown High. His break through performance was in HSM, in which he sang two duets with Ashley Tisdale, What I've Been Looking For and Bop to the Top.

High School Musical star Lucas Grabeel, 23, chatted with Regis & Jelly on Tuesday. Lucas revealed that after graduating from High School he drove out to LA from Missouri, with his voice teacher, to make it as an actor.
He was discovered while waiting in line for smoothie in Santa Monica, CA by his now manager Roger Thompson!
