Gus Van Sant's new film 'Paranoid Park' holds all of the intrigue and urgency and of his recent film Elephant. 'Paranoid' won the 60th Anniversary prize at last year’s Cannes film festival, and stars Gabe Nevins as Alex and 'Gossip Girl' Taylor Momsen as Jennifer.

The storyline of a 'throw away kid' accidentally murdering a security guard. Van Sant adapted this film from a novel by Blake Nelson that is set in the director’s hometown of Portland, Oregon near a real life skate park (which is the central scene).

Next up for Van Sant is his Harvey Milk biopic Milk, featuring Sean Penn, Emile Hirsch and James Franco. 'Paranoid Park' is scheduled for a limited release and hits theaters March 7, 2008.
