The American Idol contestants sang ONE song then drug addict Paula Abdul went on to critique Jason Castro's SECOND song which he hadn't even sung yet!

Here are the top two performances from Tuesday night's American Idol performances. Jason Castro 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' and Kristy Lee Cook 'Anyway' under the cut. What do you think?

There's no Antonella Barba or Sanjaya Malakar making this season of American Idol officially boring. David Archuleta (featured above singing 'Imagine') is exactly what Idol producers want, so I'm predicting him for the win. He's young, cute and has a pretty voice. They can mold him into whatever they want and squeeze the money and soul out the first album he makes. David is also of Latin decent and they're always looking for an Idol with a 'different' look.

Carly Smithson is the Melinda Doolittle of this season. Great voice, but a failure in a every other department. The Filipino girl Ramiele Malubay and blond Alaina Whitaker appear to have the strongest voices / like-ability. With Brooke White and Asia'h Eppherson trailing. Other than Jason Castro, the rest of the contestants need to go home, because it's exhausting watching them miss their 'pitch' every note. What do you think?

American Idol castaway Josiah Lemming will be meeting with record labels this week.

He’s also working on an album to release this Summer so that he can tour.

Josiah promised that if he gets to 35,000 friends on his MySpace page he will record a video of himself singing Mika’s Grace Kelly.
 
It was a fan favorite during the crazy American Idol auditions in Hollywood.

A lot of the contestants this year have been signed or have a conflict of interest with the show. Idol performer Carly Smithson (formely Carly Hennessy) has already been signed to MCA records and they spent millions trying to make her a star. The A&R guy at the time was no other than Randy Jackson. Hmm... Scandal! 

Kristy Lee Cook was signed by Arista Records. Joanna Borgella worked with Mo'Nique and Patti Labelle, and was on the Tyra Banks Show. Syesha Mercado made a FORD commercial not too long ago (FORD is one of the AI sponsors - another conflict of interest) Michael Johns was in a successful band. Jason Castro was on the show Cheyenne.

Kady Malloy is the new Britney Spears! The 18-year-old Houston, Texas native is by far my favorite yet! She totally wants to get through to Hollywood just to hang out with Brit Brit, screw Idol.

Under the cut, is the worst, his name is Bruce Dickson and he's 19. When he was 13, his father gave him a key necklace which he wears all of the time. His father wears the other part of the necklace which is a heart, and the key goes into the heart. I've heard of promise rings, like the Jonas Brothers,  but that's just whack and so his voice.

Unfortunately, pill popper Paula Abdul was not high or drunk on FOX's Tuesday night premiere of American Idol 7. With that, I faded in-an-out of consciousness and really can only remember two contestants from last night's show, which drew the biggest audience (33.2 million viewers) of the night.

Brooke White, featured above as the best, had the innocence and beauty drive me into a peaceful sleep. And, Alexis Cohen, under the cut, who looks at least 52 years of age and in need of dentures, blew me away with her dramatically deep voice. It's the worst audition, because as freaky as she is, Alexis should have made it to Hollywood. She's an extreme makeover waiting to happen.

American Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe told Us magazine in a conference call Thursday that Britney Spears is 'not well'. Nigel said:

"I would have had Britney Spears last year when I thought she was trying to get it all back together again. Britney, at this moment in time, I don't think is well enough to do anything. I think she needs looking after. I think she needs to pull herself together. She's an exceptionally talented girl, but needs taking care of right now.

Actually, Brit would be perfect to improve upon the lackluster Idol  ratings of last year. Unless, god willing, there is another sluttier Antonella Barba.
